Convenience
- If the vehicle detects prolonged driver unresponsiveness it will automatically bring the vehicle to a stop and turn on the hazard lights. If equipped, emergency services will be contacted.
Safety and Security
- A system of this type allows the driver to travel for extended periods of time without providing steering input to the vehicle, however they must be ready to resume control of the vehicle at any point.
