What Drivers Should Know About the 2023 Ford Mustang

Trim Levels

There are five trim levels to choose from, including the EcoBoost®, GT, GT Premium, EcoBoost® Premium and Mach 1. The EcoBoost® Premium uses a voice-activated navigation system to help you find your way. The Mach 1 model has advanced traction with an electronic control system to ensure maximum handling. All models have an SOS post-crash alert system to alert first responders in the event of an accident.

Performance

The new EcoBoost® and the EcoBoost® Premium are powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque in the EcoBoost® and 330 horsepower in the EcoBoost® Premium. A 5.5-liter V8 engine powers the GT model with 450 horsepower and the GT Premium with 470 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.

The new Mustang EcoBoost® Premium has Ford's MagneRide® Damping System. The system uses magnetorheological technology to continuously adjust suspension settings, providing an improved ride quality.

The Mustang Mach 1 features the Open Air Induction System. This system has an air scoop on its hood that is connected to a large air filter box in the engine bay. This helps provide cooler air, resulting in better performance and fuel economy. The Brembo™ six-piston front brake calipers with larger rotors can brake the Mustang within a short distance, and it has improved fade resistance under extreme braking.

The new Mustang has a Performance Enhanced Powertrain Calibration system, which is designed to maximize the performance of the engine, transmission and driveline components.

Interior Design

The new Mustang comes with Recaro® sport seats that provide superior lateral support and comfort. The adjustable seat bolsters allow for a tailored fit, and the perforated leather seating material is both durable and luxurious.

The 4.2-inch cluster allows you to get important information at a glance. The MyColor® feature provides various lighting colors to create a unique interior atmosphere. The Universal Garage Door Opener allows owners to control their garage door right from the vehicle's dashboard. The Mustang has been designed with custom carpeted floor mats, which protect the interior from dirt and dust.

Exterior Design

All Ford Mustang models have LED headlamps with signature lighting. The Pony Puddle Lamp in the EcoBoost® Premium projects an illuminated mustang logo onto the ground when you unlock your vehicle.

The hood vents are designed to reduce under-hood temperatures and improve engine performance. The side mirrors also have integrated blind spot detection. The EcoBoost® models feature Dual Bright exhausts with rolled polished tips.

Technology Features

The 13.2-inch touchscreen is designed to optimize the user experience with improved navigation and voice control and increased integration.

The Ford Power-Up software update capability allows you to download the latest SYNC® updates, over-the-air security patches and other performance enhancements. The speed sign recognition system adjusts the Mustang's speed according to current road speed limits, helping you keep your speed under control.

Safety Features

The Pre-Collision Assist feature is combined with the automatic emergency braking system to help keep you safe when it detects a potential upcoming collision. The auto high-beam headlamps turn the high beams on when no other vehicles are in front of your vehicle and will dim them when it senses an approaching vehicle.

The lane-keeping system is designed to keep you in your lane by gently nudging the steering wheel when it detects the Ford Mustang drifting. The system also includes a driver alert warning to help maintain focus on longer drives.
